SKIN BOOSTING
What do Skin Boosting treatments do?
Skin boosting products aren’t a volumizing dermal filler or anti-wrinkle injections, it's a skin remodelling treatment made 100% of Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid is naturally occurring within the skin, designed to keep skin tissue plump. As we age, HA in our skin reduces, along with the elastin and fat pads, enabling lines and wrinkles to form.
Skin boosting products , such as Profhilo, are designed to plump, hydrate, and improve the texture and firmness of the skin, therefore reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and overall appearance of the treated area.

What is the procedure?
The product is injected superficially into the skin on the face, hands, neck or arms. The fluid disperses to create a softer appearance of the skin, improving laxity.
The gel like product is only active in your skin for 3 weeks, therefore a very low risk and safe procedure.
The product used is natural, formed in your own body. Therefore, if you are someone who tries to avoid putting foreign substances into your skin/body, this may be the treatment for you!

How many treatments will I require & how long does it last?
The treatment is a two-stage procedure, one month apart. You can expect to see results continuing to improve up to 4 weeks after second treatment.
Although it is a treatment that you can never have too much of, it is advised having a course as a minimum 6-9 monthly.
It is worth noting, if have a large amount of volume depletion, to gain optimal results, you may require other treatments, such as dermal fillers, that will restore volume. This will be discussed with you during an in-depth consultation with your practitioner prior to your treatment.
What is the cost?
A course of two to four treatments are usually required depending on which skin boosting product you require. You can buy a course of treatments to havee either in one area, or across multiple.
You can decide to have this treatment on your face, neck, chest, arms or hands...anywhere you'd like to rejuvenate the skin.
What is the downtime and healing process?
You can have skin boosting treatments and continue with your day to day activities. However, we do advise not wearing makeup for 6 hours following your treatment and avoid touching the injection site.
We also recommend that you do not go to a sauna, steam room or go swimming for 14 days post treatment. Also avoid the gym for 24 hours which would increase swelling potential.
As with any injectable procedures, expect slight redness, bruising and swelling at the injection sites. These will reduce within hours/days following your treatment.
Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior to your treatment to minimise the risk of bruising.
In the week before your treatment, try to avoid taking aspirin, ibuprofen and any other type of anti-inflammatory medication as this will also increase your risk of bruising.
